Of the 70 million Technocrati identifies, just 55 per cent have been updated in the past three months. About 11 per cent are updated weekly or more often.
I didn’t update my blog either and I’m amazed of the numbers of visitors as I’m still on a page rank of 4 on Google.

Now if Network marketing is one of the subject who bring most of you here, at least you are doing some search on MLM or a particular company. You may realize that MLM has to be run with lots of hard work and that if you don’t like and believe in the product don’t bother you will waist your time.
Most of the MLM company are not honest and hide some element in purpose to mislead you into their organization. Never believe any study on a product unless it’s done by a third party or an independent laboratory.
The web is an amazing source of information, visit forums and blogs will give you a different perspective…

It's been a while since I wrote on this blog. The last few month have been crazy.
Now it's the start of a new chapter with new plan and new business.
Some of you contacted me regarding MLM and asked with who I signed but I wontanswer unless you post a comment on this blog.
Anyway concerning MLM I didn't sign with anybody and don't think anybody should unless they love the product, relate to it and have done extensive research to be sure that it's not a gimmick or whatever you call it.
Now home-based business are great and an amazing way to stay close to your family while making a leaving so it's still what I'm doing.

It's a very busy busy time and I can't wait a break in February but for now I have just received a threat from a MLM company saying that I can't use their name or talk about them! Funny, because I stopped to talk about them a while ago and it's looks like they are missing my opinion. Now I'm too busy to waist my time with this issue but it's amazing that a company who claim to be honest and ethical threat their old customers to not talk about their experiences!

By coincidence I'm related from my mum side to the Castle of Agel in the south of France so nothing will and can stop me to talk about this Agel castle where my parents got married!

New Biz, new mission...

I’m not being pessimistic, I’m pretty sure it’s all realistic and even if by miracle nothing happen, well it’s healthy to tend to live closer to the nature and realize that health and family are the most important.
Of course money help and in our society it’s still a necessity .
So that’s it, my new business is nearly ready! After months of investigation, and after borrowing to credit card, friends and family the first website is going to open this week.
We are already working on the second one, more generic to appeal to more people as the first one target the bloggers only.
If this new business go nowhere well I will to go to work in some mine in the desert of Western Australia…
As the plan is to save some money to be ready for the big change that our society is going got have...
Now what I like with this new biz, it’s that beside making money, it can help people to support a cause, an idea by advertising a message on a Shirt!

This end of oil story can be frightening and many people won’t believe it and say that we are paranoid and influence by some conspiracy theory but it’s up to you to get informed and educated and everything is available on the web.
It’s going to happen in our life time but if you are ready you can limit difficulties and avoid catastrophic situation. To invest in the mountains and to learn to become self sufficient is probably a good idea with the water rising in consequence of global warming and the food production depending on oil being in danger of stopping.

The Dark Side of the Industrial Age

Lately politicians and media have been talking a lot about the “global warming” issue. If it’s a beat late it’s a start and we have to hope that the mentality will change to push our governments to change law who govern corporations and avoid a catastrophe.

By putting large quantities of greenhouse gases (specially CO2 ) into the atmosphere, humans are exerting pressure on an inherently unstable climate system that might produce a drastic change without much prior warning.

But, by common agreement the government, few years ago have managed to reduce the ozone hole with a common agreement on ban on gas used. But now they have to take some more drastic decision to force the industry to stop damaging the earth and may be it’s too late to reverse the process!

The latest film by Al Gore is very successful and I would advise anybody to see An Inconvenient Truth it, the book is very interesting too . there is no hided agenda , just fact about the situation on earth where 99% of the scientific community agree.

But Global Warming is not the proper term. We should be talking about “Climate Change” as it’s not going to get warmer everywhere. In fact, to resume the situation, the Antarctica and south pole are melting, the ocean are getting warmer so the currant in the ocean are changing. Europe at it’s latitude should be much colder but because of the Gulf Stream it’s a temperate climat.
Now if the gulf stream stop (it has already slow down!), Europe will become much colder with heavy winter most of the time….On the other end Australia is warmer and every year the drout is stronger….
The other major effect is the rising level of water. So many millions of people will have to be displace and loose everything.

The thing is that the problem is not for the earth as it will always recover from whatever change will happen but the people, us, we are going to loose millions of people and all this because of the greed of few people. Guess who?

But if the government and the media, (under popular awareness )talk and realize that they should act against Global Warming, there is something else, very scary and even of a bigger impact that is going to happen soon. It will have earthshaking repercussions for the way we live and the way the world is ordered.

It has been a while since I didn’t write anything, thanks to Shuman the time is flying and having little times and some problems it was hard to keep blogging as often as I did. So what happened?
Well when you have a new baby, an active 2,5 years old, work problems and a wife who cannot stand when you are on the computer it make things harder.
The fashion jewellery going no where with retail in Australia in a very difficult situation plus the market being overflowed with every shops selling jewellery and more and more Chinese invading the market, I had to find a replacement business …

Network marketing was interesting but if the concept was attractive, I couldn’t relate to any product and most of them are just a gimmick anyway. Some people are making money but by misleading others conscienceless or not and soon or later they will realize it. I’m glad I didn’t go further into it but it was a very good experience.

So in the last 3 month I have been investigating this new business, well not really new as in fact it was my first business back when I was teenager . So by coincidence ( really a synchronicity!) I’m now starting a T-shirt business offline and online…

Still looking for some ethical MLM company and really it seems that there is only a few. So far I was interested with Melaleuca as their philosophies was in line with my belief to promote safer products for the home an the environment. But I still have some questions unanswered and when asked, my sponsor (person who try to recruit you) got very defensive. So now I think that they are not as ethical as I thought and lucky I find out in time. In fact Melaleuca use chemical like paraben, that have been found in the breast tissue of women with breast cancer! Scary!
There is this “new” Australian company: One Group, they specialize in Organic products but I think that they are a beat expensive and their range limited. But may be later they will expand their range and be more competitive.
Now there is this company GNLD, to my surprise I didn’t find any red flag on the net even if this company is around since 1958. Also, they don’t talk about millions made overnight. It’s worth investigating more for someone who is ready to work with a network marketing company.
But be ready to work, and work hard, MLM is a great concept but to make a living of it, you will have to work like in any other business. As for me, I don’t have any spare time and not taking vitamins or any food supplement we don’t have any reason to join them as when you join an MLM company you have to pay a joining fee and commit yourself to buy their products every month. So it’s ok if you consume their product, as even if you are not a business builder you would be using their products.
In Conclusion, MLM is a great concept but in fact there is variant business model more appropriate to people who want an extra income without spending any joining fee and without any minimum order commitment. Let see what’s it all about.

Time appears to be speeding up!

It's amazing how the time is going so fast, everybody seems to agree and it remind me of a theory that I learned few years ago while I was traveling and in search of answers. Also last week all the debate about the "planet" Pluto has remind me that we are living in a very special moment.
What's happening is that the Earth's background base frequency, or "heartbeat," called Schumann resonance, is rising dramatically. For thousands of years the overall measurement was 7.8 cycles per second. This was once thought to be a constant; global military communications developed on this frequency. Recent reports set the rate at over 11 cycles, and climbing. Science doesn't know why, or what to make of it.
Time appear to speed up. A 24 hour day seem to be about 16 hours or less. Remember the Schumann Resonance (or "heart beat" of Mother Earth) has been 7.8 cycles for thousands of years, but has been rising since 1980. It is at about 12 cycles at present. All this is fascinating and I'm wondering where it's all going.

If the situation of Israel in the middle east as always been a concern for me, I couldn't see how so many people could support such politics. I have meet some friends from Israel, and if I go back few century my ancestor were Jew. But this critics of Israel could have been consider for anti-Semitism which would be against my belief.
But now I know the difference between Judaism and Zionism
Now I realize what the story with Israel is and thanks to the net I have learn more about this terrible Zionism.
Lucky for us, if the Zionists control the world media, they don't control the internet and more and more people are aware of this criminals who are ready do do anything for their own agenda.

There are thousands of web hosting companies to choose from and they all claim to be the best.
First you have to make sure that they are reliable, then for me the most important is the web space. In the last few weeks as my daily emails have increased dramatically, I didn’t receive some of my emails because my account capacity was lower.
Emails are the lifeblood of an online business so I had to do something.
So I did some research to find out that with my hosting company I had only 30 mb of web space and I was paying over 200 euro/year!
Now have a look at your hosting plan and compare it with hostgator.com, in my case it’s amazing the difference in value. They offer you 3500 mb/year for only $6.95/month or 5000 mb for less than $10/month.
You also need to make sure that your hosting company have a good customer support, unlimited FTP access to transfer files to your server and payment processing options as it’s the most important aspect of any website that sells a product.
An auto responder and a personal affiliate program is a real bonus, we will talk about this later as I believe it’s the option who can make a real difference in the way you promote your business.
If building some website to promote some off line products, is a beat tricky and take lots of time, at the end you will be able to duplicate this concept and build your own off/on line business.

UK “terror” plot: Is it a stunt?

Yesterday the British intelligence announced that it foiled a major "terror" plot to blow up at least 10 U.S.-bound planes, an attack that UK officials say could have surpassed 9/11.

But it’s very interesting to notice that some analysts say the revelation of the alleged "terror" plot at this critical time is carefully designed to divert the world’s attention from the ongoing Israeli offensive in Lebanon, which has so far killed more than 1,000 Lebanese civilians.
American and British leaders are facing intense pressure at home and abroad for their handling of the Middle East crisis

Some analysts even say that the alleged "terror" plot in the UK threatens to take the world into World War III if the U.S., Britain and Israel succeeded in diverting the world’s attention from the Middle East crisis and blamed all the chaos on Lebanon, Syria or Iran.

Not so long ago, the world’s attention was focused on Afghanistan and Iraq, where the U.S.-led occupation forces are being defeated. At the same, the sliding dollar and rising oil prices were pushing the controllers of Dick Cheney and the Bush administration to rush into World War III, which they think could heal all their wounds.

Some experts are suggesting that the current conflict in Lebanon, is actually aimed at preparing the ground for an American war on Iran; by weakening Iran's deterrent to an attack on its nuclear sites according to an article on Asia Times Online.

By trying to inflict as much damage as possible to Libanon arsenal and preventing any resupply from Iran, Israel is removing a major obstacle in the way of the Bush’s administration which in the past feared that trying to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities would mean that Israel will suffer massive casualties from Hezbollah’s rocket attacks that will pour on Israeli towns in retaliation of striking Iran.

In any doubt I think everything should be done to stop Bush and his friend to manipulate us.

Soon or later, you will realize that if you want to have a home business you will need you own website.
First you have to register a web address, even if you just have a blog it’s a good idea to register the name as it will be shorter so more convenient to promote it, print it …plus you would like to have someone else with your name.
For my blog it use to be www.search-for-freedom.blogspot.com but once registered it’s now www.search-for-freedom.com . When you have your web address you can redirect it to any other address for free and you don’t need hosting.
It’s amazing that some name have been sold for millions. The domains Loans.com and Wines.com were bought for $3 millions each!
Domaines names can be registered through many different companies, but after lots of research I found Netfirms being the best value.It's less than $5!
Web hosting issue is more complicated but once you get it, it’s pretty simple. But choosing a web host requires a lot of research. Also it all depends of what you require for your website. Unfortunately doing the research I realize that the web host for my jewellery business was far for being good value.

Safe Browsing is often able to automatically warn you when you encounter a page that's trying to trick you into disclosing personal information.

A search bar is integrated, you can choose your favoritesearchhenginee but if you choose Firefox with Google toolbar, there is a spellchecker which can check the spelling of what you typed in forms, including the Blogger post editor. You caalsoo use it to check the page rank of any sites you visit. Also included is an enhanced search box which search smarter with instant suggestions, spelling corrections, and history as you type.

In addition, there is Auto-fill which optionally fill online forms for faster shopping, etc. Firefox is much better than Internet Explorer and you will love the built-in pop-up blocker.

The Agel Saga continue! I received my bank statement and the refund that was suppose to be done by Agel enterprise is short of few hundreds dollars! So now I have to chase them again and as their customer service is in the US that make things harder.
All this remind me that the net is full of charlatans. Specially if you look at the home business it's not wrong to say that the majority of the information around is just misleading and dishonest. So again the use of Forum can be very helpful and never jump to quickly on an opportunity.
Of course you can found good help, it's one in a million but they exist. I found one and I'm glad as I have started few exiting projects involving a fusion on/off line business witch are believe are winners.

How can we have Freedom if the world become more and more instable. I can't believe what's happening in the Middle East! Staying objective, why is Israel is taking such a disproportionate action?
Over 500 Lebanese civilians killed,and thousands of homeless because 2 soldiers have been kidnapped!
The Hezbollah has killed 19 civilians and 32 soldiers.
What's going on!
And all this with the help of Bush: Last week the US used Prestwick Airport in Scotland to rush a new consignment of bombs and missiles to Israel, wish had exhausted its own stocks in its onslaught against Lebanon.

It’s in Latin but I thought it was a good title as it translate that you can’t know the truth about something with just one witness. So it’s why, in my opinion, Forum are great.
FORUM are also hugely popular. there is hundreds of thousands people chatting away in these topic specific forums at all times of the day and night. There are forums for every topic imaginable.
Just do a Google search or type in your favorite search engine: “forum+your topic”. You will automatically be in touch with people who are specifically related to your search.
When I investigated AGEL, I found lots of in formation in Forums and now if I found a new product, after few visits at some forums I can have a pretty good idea of what’s going on.
This past few days I find out again that most of all MLM are not being honest. You realy have to do your homework or soon or later you will be disappointed. Unless of course if you are a Shark and eat all the little fish…

If I’m confident that I found an honest and ethical network marketing company, I know that it’s going to take time to build it (family commitment: welcome to my daughter Amalka.) and it’s ok as their products are so amazing that we will order them anyway even if I didn’t want to build this type of business.

Thanks to my bad experience with Agel I have now a very good understanding of the MLM business and I know how to select the best company. It’s hard to resume it all in a blog so in the near future I’m going to open a Website to show you what I found concerning the selection of an MLM and also how I’m going to start to build it.
Of course you can found a lot in the net, actually there is so much that it’s overwhelming and a lot of people have an agenda which in 99% lead you to the wrong business!
I will stay objective and share with you what I believe is honest and ethical advises.
But just to build a website in an enormous subject and it’s going to take some time, more on this subject later…

Now in the shorter term, I’m going to work as well with the internet marketing affiliate business as you can make some dollars and also give you the tools to perform in internet marketing.
As you know the only way you can success on the net, is if you have a website or blog with good traffic -Tomorrow I will show you how I got over 1000 visitors in just 2 weeks
You can have the best product ever, without traffic you can closedown already.

Before I go further I want you to know that every time I recommend you a product, I have tested it and my opinion is genuine. Yes I’m getting a commission if you buy the product but if I don’t believe in the product I will let you know and wouldn’t dare make a cents form it.

Regardless of what type of home business that you are going to do on the internet, find one that you actually feel comfortable with. I will not allow myself to be part of something that can potentially hurt others financially.

MLM and the reorder rate

So before to go further with internet marketing I would like to talk a little beat more about the selection process of a network marketing company. I find that for me, the most important is the reorder rate from customers every month. You have to be sure that real customers ( people who buy the products without the goal of building a business) are re-ordering every month because they are getting real value.
It’s the best proof that the products are unique and good value.
Be very careful to understand that lot of people are buying products for the wrong purpose:
They buy only to qualify to get a check!
Many company have a “personal Volume” requirement necessitating a minimum personal product purchase in order to receive a check. An if this minimum is $100 or even worst over $200, how many average people are going to be able to spend their money on the products ( worst when the product range is very limited to few items!).
Also if the majority of the people are business builders, you can be sure that they are not going to last long and you will have to recruit and recruit…

Studying the concept of Network marketing I realise that it’s a great business and I really believe- specially after reading the MLM report, that the company that I’m going to join is the best one. But in fact it’s not a conventional MLM business and it’s probably why it’s different form all the others and by far the most ethical one.
But now as any business I will have to found customers interested in the products or in the lifestyle offered by this type of business, not every body want to have a home based business but many people are willing to protect their environment and families…

But before I start this new venture first I will continue to show you my process to select this company but also I will share with you how I’m going to market it.

And because I’m stuck at home waiting for our new baby to show up, it’s a perfect timing for me to study internet marketing. And really, what ever business you are doing, marketing with the net is an enormous advantage. Of course it’s not easy, but not impossible.

So now, at this time of life it’s what my intuition brings me to. I’m not saying that for sure it’s going to work, but I’m confident that what ever the result it will be for something positive.

The problem is that there is so much information on the net, that it’s overwhelming.
Specially if you want to learn the internet business. So where to start?

I’m more and more annoyed with all this corporations who use workers and the earth for their own greed.
So when you choose a company to work with for many years to come you have to understand that if a company is publicly held - Listed! Then the obligation to the shareholders will come before the obligation to the distributors.
So are you going to join:
- A corporation where sometimes the price of the stock takes precedence over the long-term best interest of the customers.
- or a company privately & tightly held by a person with proven, extremely high integrity and that has a long term track record of excellence and consistent growth.

If I join a MLM company it’s because I want a reliable, long -term residual income. That means that it’s for the long term, no Quick-rich biz here!
But how I’m going to be sure that the company is going to last 10 or even 20 more years specially when so many company close-down after few years ?
Well, if a company has a proven track record of growth for over 5 years then you will have more chance to succeed. We have to be very careful with new company.
Of course in the first years it’s the best timing for the Sharks! But if the deal is only good because you got in on the ground floor, what will you say to people coming in a year or two from now?
This is the real test for people of integrity!
The good news is, that the company that I’m investigating has a track record of growth for more than 15 years so they have proven that they are more than just a gimmick or a fad.

In my learning process of Network Marketing, I found that there is so much information in the net that I’m surprise how so many people still join company that had little chance of succeeding.

Individual success in MLM begins with wise selection of a company. Surfing the net you can found lots of info and it’s important to have an objective information.

It's funny (or sad!) to see how some people are so in Love with their gels that they are blind. Here is my last opinion about Agel in response to an Agel extremist(publish in comment under "An Important Article")

Thanks to the MLM report I found a much better company who doesn’t go against my belief, a proven company where duplication has been explosive, where everyone wins - no one loses - and that will be around for a lifetime.
But concerning your comment I have to say :

- I find amazing that Agel removed the sweetening blend (Enulin, Xylitol, Neotame and Acesulfame-K) because they started to have complains. Why they didn’t removed it before selling it to the public?
As professional they new it could be dangerous.

In conclusion I would say that I’m not a scientist to really know if this gels are good value for what they are, or if this gels are healthy. I would have to spend even more money to have an independent objective opinion and it’s too late as I can’t trust the management anyway.
You may loose weight but what about the consequences in the longer term for your body!

Having said that I can’t spend all my time talking about Agel, but I would rather put my money, time and energy with a company who has a vision to improve the health of families around the world, and which include a commitment to the health of the environment.

I received some emails about this blog of some people not very happy with me but I would like to clarify something.
I'm sorry if I spoil your dreams but it is not my purpose.
I have been disappointed with Agel and I'm just sharing my experience as I feel that some people could relate to me and appreciate my testimony.
Me too I was upset when I find out that Agel was not the company I expected. But that don't means that I'm not dreaming anymore. It's just a step to bring me somewhere else...
So I'm still dreaming and I hope you do too.
If you are concern about the product, you should ask the help of some independent professional and then you will have an objective opinion.
I'm not trying to mislead any of you and you don't have to trust me, it's all up to you.

Also I have to remember you that the MLM report is not a business but just a tool to select the best company.

It's one month already that I have been introduce to Agel. Of course I nearly got scammed but I realize in time, so I didn't loose much and if they don't give me my refund I will not hesitate to report them...
The lawyers for the analyze said it will cost me around AUS $750 so I will not do it now. What's the point. I'm convince that they are not honest and are misleading the public.

Now I have to be grateful to them because in this last month I have done lots of research about the Network Marketing business and I believe that it's a great business. The problem is that there is hundreds of company and most of them are not honest.
Ok a lot are legal but they are not ethical!

Thanks to the MLMreport I can now select the best company. This report teach you how to apply 12 different test to the business you are investigating. And I can tell you that Agel is very far from passing the 12 test, you can see by yourself you are going to be surprise!

If June was a very interesting month, July is going to be even better. Then business wise, my jewelry wholesale business should pickup as we have our first trade fair for this financial year in Brisbane luckily I have a good partner who can run it as I have to stay home to help the family. But being at home I'm going to have some time to learn more about the internet marketing as it's an amazing tool that I want to use to promote my new venture.

The Internet is so amazing it's hard to understand the impact that it has on humankind. Some people believe it is bigger than the Agricultural Revolution, the industrial Revolution, the telephone and personal computer all put together!
It's transforming the way we communicate, the way we buy products and services and the way we learn and acquire information.

When you learn something, mistakes are normal and that's why I got into this Agel business without having done proper research. So now that I have asked for my refund what should I do?
Should I keep going against Agel...Well I have other things to do and it all create bad vibes so I will let know all the people that I know who got involve with Agel then I'm moving on.
Agel is not going to last very long anyway, apparently they already went bankrupt in Singapore!
But I'm not upset of what happened, I knew something was wrong and finally I found what it was. Then now today I have more experiences and I know that I have to do my homework 100% before joining any business and follow more my intuition and my wife one as well.

The gels are not standartised at all, neither are the plant extracts used in them. Therefore you don't know what's in them and in because they are "wet" products the ingredients deteriorate quickly. This is just how things happen in any wet products. It's important to know that the gels are not even classified as "nutritional supplements" or "vitamins" because they don't fulfill any criteria that are needed to be classified as such. They are in the category of "sports foods" which means they don't have to fulfill any criteria that nutritional supplements do, or contain exactly what's on the label.

They did that to avoid scrutiny by regulating authorities in various countries. In their webcasts they promote the gels as they were nutritional supplements which is just clever marketing to decieve potential customers.

About the products. Where do I start. At first I tried to get some answers from my friend or people during the webcasts and each and every time I was sent to their website geldocs.com. The website is a joke, there is no science there. It doesn't really say much different than the regular website. It's just them talking about how great and tasty the gels are. Someone has already mentioned it but the geldocs site lists some references but when you actually read them you’ll realise that the references talk about higher amounts of ingredients than the ones in the Agel gels and all the studies about vitamins are studies done on tablets. The company created a clever, scientific veneer that many people unfortunately are falling for (well I was almost one of them).
Anybody who knows anything about human nutrition or physiology will be absolutely dismayed how anyone could come up with such nutritionally worthless and possibly dangerous products.

First of all the gels are heavily preserved with Sodium Benzoate that is also known under number 211. This chemical is present in soft drinks and confectionery products and have been associated with adverse effects ranging from gastric problems, skin and eye irritation, liver, kidney and neurotoxic effects and regarded as possible teratogen.
In addition it is known to react with vitamin C (either naturally occurring or added) to produce BENZENE – an ingredient present in petrol and a known carcinogen. This issue has been in the news a lot recently and is a subject of FDA investigation. There are currently 100s of articles on the net and in scientific publications appearing world wide about this issue and the following are some references:

It is really sad that a company that supposedly produces health-enhancing products includes ingredients that are known to be dangerous.

Four out of the five Agel products (FIT, EXO, MIN, OHM, and UMI) used to contain a “Proprietary Sweetening Blend” containing, Neotame, and Acesulfame-K. They are apparently have been now removed from the gels (apart from OHM) but they are still present in the gels in Australia.
Neotame is a cheap artificial sweetener that is much worse than aspartame and Acesulfame-K causes cancer in animals. So it potentially can cause cancer in humans.

That’s not all. The gels contain flavors (e.g green apple flavour in UMI and meringue flavor FIT) that include propylene glycol (ingredient in anti-freeze, and shampoos), ethyl acetate and ethyl butyrate. They are not nice ingredients to ingest every day. Ethyl acetate is in nail polish and cigarette smoke but it is added to food (as well as ethyl butyratate) because it happens to have a fruity taste.

All these horrible ingredients are in the Agel products but they are very well disguised. I suggest that you look at the Australian Agel site as well as the US one.

The Australians appear to have different regulations as far as the labelling is concerned so the product info is more complete. You have to look at the pdf documens as you won’t hear about these ingredients during webcasts or just by looking at the main Agel website.

Go to each product, and see the pdf documents. Sodium benzoate is listed but the other additives aren’t.

The following is a short summary of what I found out about each of the individual products:
EXO – has a few plant extracts which is OK but also contains the above listed additives and preservatives. Several juice concentrates are in it and we all know to avoid them as they are nutritionally poor. It’s well known that juices made out of concentrates have lower nutritional values. The whole lot weighs only 21g which is very little fruit. They were raving about EXO having a “huge ORAC score” of 800 at some webcast, which actually is not high at all. This is equivalent of a half cup of grapes or 3 strawberries. Certainly not 5 to 6 lots of fruit as it has been claimed by the Agel people. Reference: www.drdavidwilliams.com
By the way ORAC value is not the only way of assessing nutritional value of fruit and veg as it counts only some antioxidants, but if you are after high ORAC score eat just half of a cup of broccoli or have some Eniva that has ORAC score of 2500.
$2 for and EXO pouch seem a lot for tiny amount of fruit extract mixed with a possibly dangerous chemicals.

MIN – incomplete range of nutrients, very low levels apart from folate and vitamin D.
It has only 30 iu of vitamin E. Well you need at least 200 to 400 iu to make any difference. Also only 150 mg of calcium – far too low. I suggest that you read this new independent publication produced by CRN. The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) is a Washington-based trade association representing ingredient suppliers and manufacturers in the dietary supplement industry. There is a good 36-page paper there: www.crnusa.org
and when you read it you will know that you need a lot higher levels of nutrients than those included in the MIN gel.
And of course the gel contains sodium benzoate. Again for much less than $2 a day you can buy a high quality vitamin and get a supplement with meaningful doses of minerals and vitamins. Look at Douglas Labs, Nuskin or Usana. They all great, high potency products.

FIT – this one really stands out. There is some evidence that hydroxycitric acid can assist in weight loss but they put a completely ineffective amount. SuperCitrimax is the active ingredient Agel is using (manufactured by InterHealth Nutraceuticals) and it was shown to be effective in a clinical trial at a dose of 2700 milligrams of HCA (hydroxycytric acid) that is an equivalent of 4500 milligrams Super CitriMax (see www.crnusa.org). Some studies show that you need even more to have any effect.
How much do you get from Agel’s FIT – only 780mg of HCA (1300mg of Super Citrimax). That’s only a quarter of what was shown to be effective!!! Why would you do that? The only reason is to make a cheap product and sell it for a lot of money.
Also the amount of active ingredient in the pack is only 16% (1300 mg of Super CitriMax in 21 g serving of FIT). So the rest (the majority) that is 84% is water, gum, sweetners, sodium benzoate and of course the delicious flavour that contains propylene glycol, ethyl acetate etc. $2 for water and fillers and a bit of HCA? No thank you.

UMI – as ineffective amount of the active ingredient as in FIT. Fucoidan have shown some anti-tumor activity and although there are thousands of anti-cancerous ingredients in nature (green tea, broccoli, grapes, blueberries etc.) there some people who like to take fucoidan. The inhabitants of Okinawa, Japan enjoy some of the highest life expectancies in Japan. They happen to have one of the highest per capita consumption rates of fucoidan. If you want to take an effective dose of fucoidan take NRx-Fucoidan. Go to www.americannutrition.com. Two capsules of high purity fucoidan will give you 600 mg of the active ingredient. From Agel’s UMI you will only get 210 mg of fucoidan per 21 g packet – exactly 1% of the packet’s content. The rest -99% is water, gum, additives, preservatives. Not a bad money maker?

OHM – has a few vitamins, very low potency as in MIN. Promoted for its proprietary blend containing taurine and D-ribose some ginseng and vinegar. Taurine is an amino acid that is important in metabolism. Adults actually produce taurine from cysteine with the help of pyridoxine, B6 so people generally don’t need to supplement but if you want to, the effective dose is at least 1500 mg and up to 6000 mg per day. Ribose helps your body quickly replace depleted energy levels, and it has been shown to have benefits in the treatment of heart disease and rapid athletic recovery but you need 5000 to 10000 mg of ribose per day to achieve that http://www.essense-of-life.com/info...ies.htm#ribose1
Unfortunately there is only a fraction of that amount of ribose in OHM.
OHM supplies an unknown amount of taurine and d-ribose but it looks like the amounts are nowhere near optimal as the whole blend weighs 2600 mg and is made up of 6 ingredients (that’s only about 430 mg per ingredient).

In summary: possibly the worst set of products that I have ever seen. Low and ineffective levels of ingredients, artificial flavors, dangerous additives, lots of fillers (some products are mostly fillers) and preservatives. And they say the gels are natural.

And what about this miracle gel. Nothing new about it either. Guar and xantham gums combined together. They are a very common ingredients found in jams, deserts and all sorts of foods as thickeners. Gelceuticals is just a marketing gimmick. Perhaps the Noni Juice people should call their products liquidceuticals - that would make their product sell better. Someone might come up with powderceuticals…… Just an idea.

By the way there are other products on the market that are gels and look almost identical as Agel products. The Monavie acai berry blend is also available in small packets in a gel form. There is also PowerBar Gel available

Personally, I think that there is no way that Agel is going to be a lasting business. People might be greedy but mostly are not stupid. I don’t see any value in the products or the business. The top distributors will grab as much money as they can and move to another “best opportunity”.
All this will do a lot of damage though. First of all it will damage the network marketing industry that already does not enjoy a good reputation because of the “get rich quick” approach. Sadly people’s health might be affected, either because of the chemicals in the products or because of the ignorance. I already heard about a lady who has osteoporosis and stopped taking some high potency products and moved to the gels.
On the other hand I also heard that already Agel does not have a very good retention rate as some people already have obviously recognised that the products are like Christmas baubles – shiny outside and empty inside.

Now yesterday, annoyed with the customer service poor quality! I decided to do more research about this company who couldn't manage properly a simple order!
And I found a very interesting article about the different gels from Agel. I sent the article to customer service to see what thy are going to say but they are not going to be objective so I may have to ask an independent laboratory to analyze the gel to be sure that they are healthy.
I also contacted some lawyers specializes in the import of food to Australia as this country has some really strict rules. I used their services before when I wanted to import some Tea from Srylanka...
So I sent them information about Agel gels and we will see what they say....
I have to say that Agel company said that they apply for TGA (to be allowed to claim health benefit from the gel, class the gels as listed medicine) and they will have the result at the end of the year.
Strange! because application are process within 4 weeks! Also Agel say that's because the TGA discuss only few times a year introduction of new product but my lawyers confirm that's not thru!!
Now sorry guys for you who got excited with Agel but I have the impression that it's not an honest company, we will know a beat more tomorrow........
I'm still confidant that MLM is a proper business but definitely not sure about AGEL!

About 2 weeks ago on a Monday I had an email telling me that they were doing an Agel meeting in Terrigal where I live. I had only one week to get organize.
Even if I had join Agel for over a week I still didn't received my starter pack! or any business card. So I went to have some made and started to look for prospects. Some where interested to know more but I still didn't have any info to give them beside the web site but it's not appropriate for everybody. The Magpack (magazine) is much better. Anyway, I also sent email but most of my contact are form out of town so I went to the meeting alone, it was my first one. 47 was the number of people, we saw again the presentation of the web then speech by the upline. They are ok but I will tell you more about this later...
Anyway then few days later I received my pack but only with UMI(one type of gel out of 3), and no CD....I complain to customer service who said that I had selected only UMI, strange because I didn't but I could have make a mistake.
The funny thing is that I received 2 packs! I called my credit card company and they told me that I got charged twice! So I complain again to customer service and they told me that I had pressed the "back button" so I got charged twice. So I must be stupid to do so many mistake!
But in fact I have order 100 of things on the net and never ever had a problem!! Also I own a Web site for my jewelry business and I'm aware of an ordering process......

So I don't know if all this was a sign but definitely not a coincidence!

Network Marketing: You either hate it, or love it.

Here is an interesting opinion that I found while I was doing my search:

It never ceases to amaze me on the extreme views people have of network marketing. There are some people who are truely passionate about it, such as Robert Allen, Denis Waitley, Robert Kiyosaki and Jim Rohn; Who are bestselling authors and speakers.

And on the flip side, you might as well have the SARs virus if you admit to being a network marketer.

So whats wrong with MLM or network marketing?

Maybe its the business model? That pyramid like structure? But you can't really say thats wrong. Almost any large organisation in the world will have that structure. Theres always 1 CEO, 2 Presidents, 5 Vice Presidents, 20 Division Managers, 100 Managers, and 1000 front line staff. Heck, even the government is in a pyramid like structure.

Or maybe that the top makes the most money? Well, don't they always? I don't see a division manager earning more than a CEO in the same company. To put it the other way round, I can't imagine what will happen if it doesn't happen that way. Would a division manager have more authority than the CEO then? *shudders* BUT! In network marketing, the top need not neccessarily be the person who joins first. If A joins, and recruits B along the way. There may come a time B will earn more than A if he puts in more effort. (More on that topic another day)

Or maybe the fact you have to pay money to participate in it?? But that doesn't sound right... Its just a standard franchising model. Like a Mcdonalds franchise for example. You pay US$1million just to be able to operate a franchise in your country. After that, you still have to buy inventories, take care of the store front, hire employees, etc etc. Try telling Mcdonalds you want to try out the business first, they pay for your store, and when you make money, then you'll pay them. (If you do find such an opportunity, do let me know! I'm serious!)

And even that, the money you pay to participate in a network marketing business is probably less than 0.001 of what you pay for a franchise.

Or maybe, its all just a scheme! This is where money is being made by signing up as many people as possible with little or no real product ever being moved to the consumers. Well, I'm sure there are companies like those. But try telling that to the people in Agel, Amway, Herbalife, Melaleucca, Nuskin, Usana who have sold millions and millions of products to happy customers, many of whom are not distributors of any company. All just happy customers, getting high quality products. So there may be a perception issue here. But its more of seeing one black sheep and calling everybody else black.

But surely, there must be a reason why network marketing has such a bad reputation?

The real problem is not in the business model itself, but instead, its the people it attracts. The business model, is in fact, just that, a neutral business model. And for that, it has a low cost of entry for business, with a huge potential for high revenues and there are people achieving that.

But its because of these exact same qualities, it attracts other kinds of people. Its low cost of entry, allows any Tom, Dick or Harry to join the business. People with no prior experience in owning or running a business; people with no experience in relationship management other than that of employee/employer relations; People who are unaware of the effort required to succeed in any form of business, thus setting unrealistic targets. Together with the potential of high revenues, you can imagine the kinds of people it may attract.

As a result, many network marketers end up giving others unrealistic income expectations. Others, comes across as desperate by forcing people to sign up or to buy tons of products. In the mildest form, some discuss business in inappropriate social settings or come across as deceptive about their business.

Of course, I don't mean network marketing consists of only these kinds of people. But true be told, negative news spreads faster than positive ones. And over here, it spreads like wild fire!

So whats the solution for this?

Firstly, do your due dillegence and find out about a business opportunity before chucking it one side simply because you think you know whats it about.

Secondly, recognise it for what it is. It is not a get rich quick scheme. Its not a fast buck scam. It is a business. And you are a business owner. If you have not owned a business before, LEARN. If you have not networked before, LEARN. If you have not done sales before, LEARN. If you have not worked with or managed people before, LEARN. You need to learn how a business is conducted, how human relations are done, etc.. Not only from established network marketing experts, but also from other experts of various fields too.

Network marketers who are serious about building a business should be reading more, learning more. Continously improving your conceptual skills in life.

Act like a small business owner, and people will treat you like one.

Robert Kiyosaki is the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad,an international best seller that focuses on what the rich teach their kids about money that the poor and middle class do not. I discovered his books years ago when I was building my jewelry business, it's a great books and helped me to found motivation while I was working 70 hours a week. Then time past, I sold my share of the business, had a break, tried the share market, lost and for 2 years have started again a jewelry business. But it's not the same and I feel that their is a better opportunity in MLM.

So now that I'm investigating Network Marketing I heard that Robert Kiyosaki recommended MLM as a way to found Financial Freedom. So I went back to my library and got my books again and here is what he thinks:

-Network Marketing. Also called multilevel marketing or direct distribution systems. Just as with franchises, the legal system initially attempted to outlaw network marketing, and I know of some countries that have succeeded in outlawing or severely restricting it. Any new system or idea often goes through this period of being classified as "strange and suspicious". At first, I also thought that network marketing was a scam. But over the years, I have studied the various systems available through network marketing, and I have watched several friends become successful. I have changed my mind.

After I dropped my prejudices and began researching network marketing, I found that there were many people who were sincerely and diligently building successful network marketing businesses. When I met these people, I saw the impact their business had on other people's lives and financial futures. I began to truly appreciate the value of the network marketing system. For a reasonable entry fee (often around $200), people can buy into an existing system and immediately start building their business. Due to the technological advances in the computer industry, these organizations are totally automated, and the headaches of paperwork, order processing, distribution, accounting and follow-up are almost entirely managed by the network marketing software systems. New distributors can focus all of their efforts in building their business through sharing this automated business opportunity instead of worrying about the normal start-up headaches of a small business.

I then notice that some of them withdraw or shy away. We both know that their chances of doing multimillion-dollar real estate investments like I do are slim to none. Besides not having the educational background, they do not have the extra capital to invest. So I began to look for a way I could help them achieve the same level of passive income I developed from real estate... without going back to school for six years and spending 12 years investing in real estate. "Is this Pyramid Selling?"

What is Pyramid Selling? Since Pyramid selling started,it's definition has been corrupted by a Chinese whispers style of passing on information, to the point that it has become a mystery.

If people are not selling Pyramids from Egypt, what are they selling when they get into Pyramid Selling?
It seems they may not be actually selling anything.

To determine whether a program is a legitimate multi-level opportunity or an illegal pyramid scheme, the relative government department tests several factors.

The first and most important test is to take a look at the compensation plan.
Does it reward participants for:
a) Merely introducing others to the program ----------> SCAM Alert!!! Pyramid!
or
b) Are participants paid for selling products? ----------> Passes this test.

“From an anti-pyramid standpoint,the most important determination in legislation
is whether or not the money participants earn is contingent upon recruiting others into the program. Thus pyramids, endless chain schemes and chain letters are illegal”.

Numerous websites offer information. Government sites are honest because they actually write the legislation and decide what defines an illegal pyramid. The Attorney General’s website say that the answer had been made clear in 2002 when the Trade Practices Act 1974 was amended “in plain English” to make it more easy to understand and clarify the prohibition of pyramid selling.

What their site says is that a Pyramid Scheme pays people primarily for recruiting, rather than for building a business that sells products. However it also says that marketing schemes may offer incentives to their sales personnel for recruiting further sales personnel and that many party-plan schemes are legitimate schemes. The major point is that if a reward for recruiting is the major incentive to get people involved, it could be a pyramid.

The New Zealand Department of Consumer Affairs website has a great check-list that is easy to follow and makes identifying pyramids fairly simple. It also has a list of recently prosecuted schemes and others that have been warned by the New Zealand Commerce Commission as being illegal.

The site of the South Australian Office of Consumer Business Affairs clearly differentiates between MLM, where participants earn commissions from the sale of products, and pyramid selling, where the real focus in is earning money almost entirely by introducing other people into the scheme. Pyramid selling schemes often involve no product at all or 'gimmick' type products or services that do not generate regular income through repeat sales.

So now I understand the difference! and after studying, I realize that this new company that I consider to join is really a proper Network Marketing buiness and it may be a very good opportunity.

Before to go into more detail about this particular company I would like to let you know why MLM is going to be my next business.
Here are some of the appealing benefits of Network Marketing:
- Very small investment to start
- Choice of the people you work with
- Work from home
- Opportunity for unlimited income
- Building your success while empowering others to succeed

The amazing fact for me is that you cannot be successful without helping others to be successful. But if you are looking to get rich quick! Network Marketing is really not the answer! But if you are motivated to work hard, part-time or full-time you will build a business big enough to give you residual income and enjoy life.

The flexible hours make it a perfect business to start while you keep your current jog or business.

Now when I started to talk to my wife and different people about MLM I had some divers opinions. So I had to understand why, and also if all this was too good to be truth?

This customer, Darren gave me his business card, we had a little chat and then he walked away....
I was curious and back home had a look at his website and discovered that it was about MLM. But the product at first view was pretty good and the presentation of the business was impressive... I could see that it could be an opportunity to start a new business with a small capital.
Network Marketing, MLM ! So what is it ? Really I had no idea beside the vague Amway story and people trying to sell you Tupperware.....
Anyway I had to do some research to really see what was involve in MLM. Thanks to my wife Katerina a skeptical born!
The amazing thing with the net is the amount of information you can found, and here we go I started my research.

Now for few weeks already I have been on a rollercoster....Sometime excited about the business, really motivated to join and sometime disappointed with what I found.

Opportunity

In the last few years I learned that their is no coincidence, to follow my intuition and that what ever happen is for something better. Not necessarily in the short term but definitely in the long term...
Few weeks ago, as I was working at my shop one of my customers ask me how was my business blabla...And then asked if I was looking for a different source of income.
At the moment I was looking for different opportunities so he definitely got my interest.
In the last 10 years I have been approached quite a few times by this type of people but I was never interested as was already over busy. I still had a few meeting but I could't relate to their product or I didn't think their business was a good idea....But today it's a different story.

Self Employed

If to be "self employed" is a dream for many people, it' s in fact not always as good as you can imagine. You end up working for someone anyway, not a boss but someone else: for me it was the owner of the shop, Shopping Centre (with increasing rent and their Mafia like practice....), staff and customer. I'm not complaining about having to work because in any job or business you have to work to make a dollar.
I have been lucky, worked hard, made some money, enjoy it with a couple of years off and then for now nearly 3 years have been back in the trade to make a living. But if I realize that money doesn't bring me happiness, free time does!
Time with my family, friends and time to enjoy my hobbies.....
But how I'm going to have more free time, with a growing family and all the expenses that our society bring us? Well the solution is to have an income without working! Some people call it Residual income.
So now is my Jewellery business going to bring me a residual income?
Well I would have to grow it at a level big enough where if you sold it you could invest the money and live of the interest. So let say that it's nearly impossible!
Knowing the economic situation of our society, the increasing competition, and the Shopping centre killing the small business I would need enormous amount of money so again more risk, stress and for a reward not even guaranty!

The Beginning

It's already few weeks that I have been looking at this phenomenon: the Blog! Quiet amazing ....
Now I'm starting one and in less than 5 minutes it's ready to go! I have a lot to learn like the RSS things & Blogrolle ect... Today is the 1st June, my first blog and begin of Winter here in Australia.
Very busy at the moment with my business as the retail (have a little shop selling Jewellery) is very slow and the wholesale is surviving with my customer taking forever to pay their account and my partner who go away to Japan! Thanks you guys, my wife is pregnant and my boy (2 years) growing up fast.....Help help where is the exit?
