It's just my experience...

I received some emails about this blog of some people not very happy with me but I would like to clarify something.
I'm sorry if I spoil your dreams but it is not my purpose.
I have been disappointed with Agel and I'm just sharing my experience as I feel that some people could relate to me and appreciate my testimony.
Me too I was upset when I find out that Agel was not the company I expected. But that don't means that I'm not dreaming anymore. It's just a step to bring me somewhere else...
So I'm still dreaming and I hope you do too.
If you are concern about the product, you should ask the help of some independent professional and then you will have an objective opinion.
I'm not trying to mislead any of you and you don't have to trust me, it's all up to you.

Also I have to remember you that the MLM report is not a business but just a tool to select the best company.

I found your blog through word of mouth, and want to compliment you on being willing to post the truth about Agel on the web.

Like you, I became disenchanted with Agel recently and left them. One of the reasons I left was their "amazing scientific breakthrough - suspension gel technology." I thought you might want to look into it and publish your findings on your blog so that less people fall for their furry ball of hype.

I read the Choosing Success magazine, amongst others, that glorifies their "proprietary suspension gel technology," and I believed. I bought and read the Ageless Nutrition book by Dr Woolley (http://www.agelessnutritionbook.com/), and was thoroughly impressed that this amazing differentiator, the gel, the new product category creator, was made from guar gum and xanthan gum. It sounded very impressive, like something they specially sourced from a faraway land and in their laboratories turned into this amazing new gel that they claim to be a scientific breakthrough.

Well, hang on...

Then, a month or two later, I did some research on guar gum and xanthan gum.

Both guar gum and xanthan gum are common thickening and binder agents that are commonly used in off-the-shelf food products such as sauces, salad dressings, ice creams, instant noodles, pet foods, processed meats, bread improvers, beverages, frozen foods, and toothpaste to name some.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guar_gum
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xanthan_gum

It turns out that Agel's products are nothing more than common vitamin and mineral ingredients, mixed with common water, which is thickened with common guar and xanthan gums. So much for scientific breakthrough and so much for proprietary suspension gel technology.

The word proprietary means, "something that is used, produced, or marketed under exclusive legal right of the inventor or maker; specifically, a drug (as a patent medicine) that is protected by secrecy, patent, or copyright against free competition as to name, product, composition, or process of manufacture." Using guar gum and xanthan gum to thicken water is hardly proprietary to Agel.

The word breakthrough means, "a sudden advance especially in knowledge or technique." Again, mixing guar gum and xanthan gum with water to thicken the water is hardly a breakthrough. The gums have been in use by hundreds of manufacturers for exactly the same purpose long before Agel came around.

Another reason I left was inventory loading. They push everyone to buy the $1,000 kit of 16 boxes and go on autoship of 2-4 boxes. Agel's policies and procedures state that, to prevent inventory loading, 70% of a distributor's previous order must either be consumed or sold before they are allowed to reorder. I doubt whether there is a single distributor who has consumed or sold 11.2 boxes or their 16 before their autoship occurs. Besides, in terms of "sold", who on earth would want to pay the suggested retail price of $2.50 ($2 + 25%) for one vitamin "tablet"? Needless to say, nobody is doing anything about what Agel's own P&P defines as inventory loading.

Do your own research into this so that you feel comfortable that this is not me trying to grind an axe. This information just needs to be available to people who do their research. The hype machine is not going to give them this info.

If you decide to publish this on your blog, I do not want my name mentioned on the blog.

Best regards,

\hi interesting to read your blog.
I would like to point out that Agel referring to a breakthrough refers to the idea of suspending vitamins and minerals in the gel and not to the actual creation of the gel itself
